Blog

Waste management is one of the most uncontrollable issues all over the world as the global population continues to rise as well as the development of urban cities. This growth of cities and people has a direct impact on waste disposal, as it results in increased levels of waste being disposed of. However, with the advancement of new technologies and more effective waste disposal methods, the waste management issue has now been controlled to some degree.

One of the methods used to collect waste in urban cities effectively is by the use of skip bins. Skip bins are mobile waste containers that are placed on specific locales to ensure that wastes are deposited categorically, regarding the type of waste. This helps in distinguishing the type of wastes and whether it may be a recyclable waste or not. Below are the different types of wastes that can be deposited in skip bins.

Solid type

Solid wastes can be described as any form of solid rubbish or garbage that is made from your home or industries. This may include waste materials such as newspapers, food, broken glass or furniture, car tires and other solid car parts, and worn out machine parts. This category may also entail all forms of waste that are not in liquid form.

Organic type

Organic wastes comes from animal or plant sources. This may include most food materials that people end up making compost within their garden. However, there are other people who do not have space or care to make compost and thus end up throwing these organic products away. These include flower trimmings, fruits, food waste, vegetables, fruit seeds and even animal droppings. Luckily, these are biodegradable wastes, which mean they can be converted and used as manure.

Hazardous type

Hazardous type of waste is waste products that are deemed dangerous for the environment as well as human health. This type of waste may include toxic, reactive, corrosive or flammable materials that may cause severe damage when exposed to people or the environment. In many cities, this type of waste is disposed of carefully, observing set regulations that will avoid any leakage into the environment or contact with people.

Easy-to-open garbage bins

My grandma is a pretty independent older lady and she doesn't like to ask for help from anyone. I noticed that she was having trouble emptying the rubbish bins at her house so I started looking around for some models that are easier to operate for people with shaky hands. She likes to be able to keep up her housework without having to call us so it works out really well when we can find items she can use herself. This blog will be useful for anyone who is looking to find garbage bins that are easy to use and stand up to wear and tear.
